Be it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as
follows:-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Legal Practitioners
Amendment Ordinance, 1919.

Sub-section 2 of section 3 of the Legal Practitioners Ordinance 1871 as enacted by section 3 of the Legal Practi-
tioners Amendment Ordinance, 1913 is hereby amended by substituting the words "Law Society" in lieu of the words "Incorporated Law Society of England".

Section 52 of the Legal Practitionere Ordinance, 1871, is hereby repealed and the following section is hereby substituted therefor:-
52.
The Court shall have power either to suspend
from practice for a definite period or to remove
and strike off the rolls of the Court the name of
any Barrister or Solicitor
(a) who is guilty of fraudulent or grossly
improper conduct in the discharge of his professional duty, or
(b) ho tenders or gives any gratification
or consente to the retention, out of any
fee or costs paid or payable to him for his services, of any gratification for procuring or having procured the employ- ment in any legal business of himself or
any other Barrister or Solicitor, or,
